Streamline Your Reporting Process with Scheduled Automations
Keeping track of your business performance is crucial, and Patch Retention’s create report action block simplifies this task. By setting up automation, you can regularly receive comprehensive reports without manual effort. Here’s how to automate report generation in Patch:
Step 1: Create a New Automation
- Access Automations: Log into your Patch account and navigate to the “Automations” module.
- Initiate Automation: Click the purple plus ‘+’ button in the bottom right corner to create a new automation.
- Start from Scratch: Select the option to begin building your automation from the ground up.
- Name Your Automation: Give your automation a recognizable name for easy reference.
Step 2: Configure Your Automation
- Set the Trigger: Use the ‘At Time’ block as the trigger for your automation.
- Define the Schedule: Choose ‘Repeating’ and set the interval (monthly or quarterly are common choices).
- Select Start Time: Decide on the start date, day of the month, and time for the automation to run.
- Save Settings: Once configured, click ‘Save, Approve, & Close’.
Step 3: Select and Create Report
- Choose Report: Select the ‘Create Report’ action block and choose the report you’ve previously created.
- Copy SmartText: Make a note of the Report URL SmartText for use in the email block.
Step 4: Select Recipients
- Limit to Specific Contacts: Drag the ‘Select Contacts’ action block onto the canvas and use it to specify the recipients of the report.
Step 5: Send Email
- Configure Email: Set up the ‘Send Email’ action block, inserting the SmartText to dynamically include the report URL in the email.
Step 6: Enable Automation
- Activate: Use the toggle in the top right corner to activate your automation.
- Test: Ensure the automation works correctly by testing the campaign.
Once activated, Patch will automatically generate and send the Report as per your schedule, keeping you informed and up-to-date with minimal effort. This automated process is a time-saver and ensures you never miss out on vital business insights.
