How to Add Text Messaging to Your Instagram Profile

Add your phone number to your Instagram Business page in just a few easy steps!

Here is what it will look like when done:

From the mobile app

1. Go to your profile
   
2. Click edit profile
   
3. Scroll down to ‘Contact options’ and select it
   
4. Input your textable phone number under ‘Business phone number’. This will be the phone number provided to you by Patch, this images below are an example. You can find your textable phone number in your Account Settings, under SMS Settings.
   
5. When asked ‘How would you like to be reached?’ check the Text option
   
6. Click Done
7. Click Save
8. Go back to the edit profile menu, click 'Profile display'
   
9. Enable 'Display contact info'
   
10. Click Done
11. Click Done again

That's it! You will now see the button next to the edit profile labeled Text.

Please note if you have both your Email address and Phone number on your profile the button will read as Contact and then when clicked the user will be given the option to email or text you.

From desktop

1. Go to your profile
   
2. Click edit profile
3. Click on the Professional account
   
4. Enter your textable phone number. This will be the phone number provided to you by Patch, this images below are an example. You can find your textable phone number in your Account Settings, under SMS Settings.
5. 
   
6. When asked ‘How would you like to be reached?' check the Text option
   
7. Click ‘Display contact info’
   
8. Click Submit

You will now see the button next to the edit profile labeled Text. The Contact buttons on your profile are only visible on the Instagram mobile app.

Please note if you have both your Email address and Phone number on your profile the button will read as Contact and then when clicked the user will be given the option to email or text you.
